James Falconer Marshall is an Editor, Cinematographer and Director based in Sydney. He has produced films for the Australian Broadcasting Commission, SBS, NITV and Foxtel and is one of Australia's preeminent filmmakers documenting Indigenous arts and culture. Colour Theory, a three-part Indigenous art series for SBS and NITV was directed and edited by James; ”Cold Justice,” an investigation into injustices faced by Indigenous Australians in unsolved homicide cases was filmed and edited by James and the documentary won the Kennedy Award for Best Investigate Documentary and a UNAA Media Award for Best TV Documentary in 2017. He also filmed ”Teach a Man to Fish,” the story of Aboriginal filmmaker Grant Leigh Saunders' drive to learn the family fishing trade and it debuted at Sydney Film Festival in 2018.
